 The
Summit Compact Unit is a 24 channel seismic acquisition system with 24
bit delta sigma technology. It provides compact instrumentation for
engineering, borehole and other applications.
The interior of this Compact Unit is based on 12
Remote Units. The 55-pin Canon
plug enables an easy connection of commercial geophone strings. To
supply the unit with power an external battery (12 V) is needed. We
recommend the use of commercial car batteries. That's a quiet easy and
cost effective solution. In general you can use Compact Units in the
same way as Remote Units. Combination of Compact Units and Remote Units
or with other Compact Units is no problem. Line and station numbers of
Compact Unit channels are allocated via
Summit Acquisition Software.
Thus even roll along with Compact Units can be done quit easily.
