SensInv3D- an inversion and modelling software for 3D geoelectric data under Windows9x/NT- Using SensInv3D you may easily create models in 3D, calculate the model response and invert your field data of arbitrary geometry !!!. No Matter if your current electrodes are in boreholes and your potential electrodes are located somewhere else SensInv3D will handle it. Software is based on subroutines provided by Peter Dietrich. There are three major components of the program. First, within the sensitivity analysis you may investigate sensitivity behaviour of your selected electrode configuration and you may calculate an "overall coverage", like the coverage calculated in seismic tomography. This may help you to decide whether or not a chosen survey design will produce a more or less homogeneous coverage. Second, the modelling tool supports you via an interactively setup of a model. You may create just only one model or you may create several models, in case you like modelling the spreading of a tracer plume. After creating the models you may calculate the model response, i.e. the apparent resistivities for your model. Again, you may model response for several chosen models. Models are et up by 2D X-Z slices which are finally combined. Third, inversion can be carried out using three different inversion schemes: Back Projection, SIRT and MSIRT. You may assign different wheigting schemes and sharpening filters, according to your survey design. As a special tool, you may incoorporate constraints or limits. Perhaps, you do have electric borehole data and you like keeping them fix during iteration. To do this, you can easily set up a "constraint model", in which you may add the boreholes then assigning an index, indicating that these values have to be fix. Well,
... , of course there are many other features like importing refraction
models, import other software formats, direct import of data for your equipment,
pre-defining surveys and many more.
Here is a selection of some software options:
You may import other software or hardware formats, if you like cross-checking results. This is a recommended way if you just have one routine to invert your data. Our modelling tool allows easy creation of models with almost arbitrary geometry. You may define layers, or other elements like circles or rectangles. Three different inversion schemes may be used: Back Projection, SIRT and MSIRT. For each inversion scheme you have full control of all parameters needed. Even you may load forward models or determine the output file frequency.
You may display your inversion results, show pseudo sections or display the iteration curve. Different color bars may enhance your target. Files are stored in ASCII on disk, so you may feel free to display your data with other graphic software. You may set up your measurement design as profile, single holes or crosshole measurements. If you set up a profile you may afterwards design all parameters needed for a Wenner, Schlumberger or Dipo-Dipol survey.
