The Recording Seismometer (RS) is the world's
smallest recording seismometer, ultra low-power consumption, rechargeable
internal battery, rugged construction, intrinsic safety.

Recording Seisometer (RS)
|
The
RS records the fifteen highest triaxial waveforms over a period of
up to six weeks. The data may then be downloaded to a workstation for
processing and analysis.
The
RS has two recording modes, referring to the 'size' of the window
for recording wave forms. This also determines the number of events
that will be stored in the memory.
- 16
Buffers - 15 triaxial waveforms + 1 working buffer
- 8
Buffers - 7 triaxial waveforms + 1 working buffer
The
16 buffer mode will store waveforms of 4.5 second lengths, and the
8 buffer mode will store waveforms of 9 second lengths.
The
RS is the simplest way to obtain accurate, useful information wherever
seismicity is suspected. Examples of application areas include previously
inactive mining regions, blast monitoring, or the response of structures
to dynamic loading.
